The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards is launching a weekly Thursday Nights at the Table dinner, beginning October 22nd. Inspired by the Wente family’s love of family-style dining, every Thursday evening, guests at The Restaurant can enjoy a shared three-course dining experience. August 31st was the first day of Livermore Valley's Wine Harvest at Retzlaff Vineyards- The area's only organic winery!

I am out of the office one day and low and behold – Harvest Begins!  Livermore Valley’s wine grape harvest began early this Tuesday morning with picking and crushing of Sauvignon Blanc grapes at our region’s only Certified Organic vineyard, Retzlaff.

I received notice from Steven Kent Vineyards began their harvest this morning  – harvesting just shy of 2 tons of Sauvignon Blanc from the Ghielmetti Vineyard.

You can experience all of the hustle & bustle of harvest this weekend at the annual Livermore Valley Harvest Wine Celebration – Sunday & Monday at where 19 wineries will be pouring at Harvest Village in Robertson Park and at 20 wineries around the region.  Purchase tickets at www.lvwine.org

It’s that time of year again! Labor day weekend in Tri-Valley is filled with fun events including the 29th Annual Livermore Valley Harvest Wine Celebration. Come to the Livermore Valley Wine Country to celebrate the Annual Harvest Wine Celebration.  There will be 20 wineries pouring wine at the Harvest Village (Located at Robertson Park) on Sunday and Monday.  In addition to the wineries, there will be live music, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, adult fun and more!

A Fun and Inexpensive Night out!

The Tri-Valley has movie mania! Gather the family and head out to these fun and FREE outdoor movies this summer in Tri-Valley.  It is a great way to have a fun evening out! Bring chairs or a picnic blanket and relax under the stars.

Livermore: Wente Vineyards Summer Cinema

Where: The Terrace Lawn overlooking the vineyards at 5050 Arroyo Road.

All movies are complimentary and begin at twilight. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be shown on July 13 and “Mamma Mia!” is scheduled for Aug. 10. Adults can enjoy a two-course fixed price dinner at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards and a glass of Wente Vineyards Estate Grown Wine for only $29 (plus tax and gratuity), the Kid’s package for children 12 and under includes a drink, choice of two entrees, and a sundae for just $15 (plus tax and gratuity).  Restaurant reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 925.456.2450. Pleasanton Free Movies in the Park

Where: DeLucchi Park on Main Street.

The downtown park opens at 4 p.m. and seating will be organized in sections by height. Show starts at 8:30 pm. Free popcorn will be provided by Thriving Ink. “Kung Fu Panda”; July 9th,”The Wizard of Oz,” July 23; “School of Rock,” Aug. 6; and  “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Aug. 20.

Danville’s Moonlight Movies on the Town Green

Where: 420 Front St. in front of the library.

Fridays, starting at 8:15 p.m. The next show will be “The Three Amigos” on July 17; “Zathura” on July 31; and “Coraline” on Aug. 14.

Dublin’s Family Movies Under the Stars

Where: Emerald Glen Park, 4201 Central Parkway.

The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Program includes showings of “Madagascar” on July 31 and “Shrek” on Aug. 28. Refreshments will be sold, but attendees are free to bring their own snacks.

Livermore Shakespeare Festival at Concannon Vineyards
